A Step by Step Guide

  • Familiarize yourself with the National DNC Registry policies. These can be found at telemarketing.donotcall.gov
  • If your company is not exempt it must be registered with the National DNC Registry before it can place unsolicited calls.
  • After you have registered with the National DNC Registry you will be issued an Organizational ID.
  • Determine how many different area codes you will be calling. If you need help finding the total number of unique area codes in a list, contact us and we can help you.
  • Subscribe to the area codes that you will need from the National DNC Registry's web site. You will be issued a Subscription Account Number (SAN).
  • Data for up to five area codes is free. Beginning October 1, 2020, the annual fee will be $66 per area code of data (after five) up to a maximum annual fee of $18,044.
  • Use your SAN to login to the government's website and download the Do Not Call files for the subscribed area codes.
  • Check to see if any of the states you are calling require registration within their state or have state Do Not Call lists.
  • Use one of our software packages (Scrub DNC Pro, Scrub DNC Standard, One DNC) to remove numbers found in your phone lists.
